God created us to rule this earth with Him. This means it is our duty and responsibility as those who claim relationship with Him through the covenant of Christ shed blood to be in council with Him continuosly to hear His heart about the earth and to carry out that heart through prayer, and acts of obedience to Him giving no regard to consequences to any but our Lord and His kingdom. We have the awesome privilege of communion with God and of functioning in this earth in His authority. However, among those who have claim covevant with God, too many have become complacent in living for Hom in that covenant. We are satisfied with things as they are and have lost faith that things can be changed through us. So we sit comfortably on the cushion of our own understanding and tolerate the works of evil and the kingdom of darkness around us. “Nothing can be done. We can’t change the outcome. All is set to be what it is.” This we say satisfied that we at leastwill get to heaven after enduring such hardship. ButGod grows increasingly angry with this complacency for init we allow darkness to prevail and in His eyes we are complicite with the work of the devil around us.
The Lord of All who created us to rule with Him is looming for those who truly believe He is who He says He is and who in faith will go into the courtroom of intimacy and hear the voice of the Great I AM and in simple trust do what He says. This God of ours is not wanting to see any soul perish in hell fire. But we who claim His name are willing to tolerate such an end as long as we can live comfortably now with no aggression coming at us. Our Lord sit in heaven and says, “if you do nothing and say nothing, then I hold you accountable for the blood of millions who will perish for eternity” (Ezekiel 33). Indeed complacency is complicity. Do we recognize the great debt we owe our Lord for what He did in the attoning sacrifice of His life given for us? Paul counted himelf a debtor to Christ, under obligation to bring the the Lamb of God the full reward of His sufferings. Nothing in Paul’s eyes was of greater importance that this one thing. What is greater in your eyes and my eyes? To stay focussed of such things will bring complacency which will cause us to walkinagreement with the enemy snatching millions from our God. Let us shake off this smug and selfish satisfaction and go to the one on the throne, learn His heart in intimacy and in obedience run forth to fulfill His every desire on the earth.
