As we celebrate the birth of our nation today it is important for we who are the citizens of God’s Kingdom to not fall for the lie of the spirit of this age that says that we should not be patriotic in our love and support of the country in which God has caused us to be born or to live in our natural citizenship. Acts 17:26 says, “From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.” God has determined that we should live in this land at this time of History for it is here that We will encounter Him and find Him and it is here that He will fulfill His purposes in our lives and through our lives. You see, it is truly only the man and woman who is living in the heart of our Lord and walking in His mind who can know what the true purpose of this nation is. Patriotism without intimacy with the Lord can lead a nation far astray and into captivity and war But when one hears the heart of the Lord for this land, they will seek and pray for the fulfill of that will and they will see the greatness in this land that God has placed there and will fight to see it become what it is intended to be. Today, the enemy has convinced too many people living in this great land that it is a place of evil that needs to be put down and destroyed. The true patriot is the one who hears God’s heart for this land and cries out in love and honor for the Lord’s purposes in America “Lord, Your kingdom come, Your will be done in America as it is done in Heaven.” The true patriot does not want to see ill on this land but desires the heart of God to oneness with Him and unity of our people in Him. If you claim to serve honor and worship the Great I AM, then you will love serve and honor the land in which He caused you live and seek its prosperity and healing, not its destruction and division. May we become God’s people, supporting, praying for and loving this great Land He created, established and covenanted with and may we rise to defend this land and lead it into the fulness of God’spuspoes for it.
