So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. – John 8:36
Freedom is knowing you have a choice and that you can make it. The devil tells us we must do something and there is no other way. That is slavery, bondage and not of God. Freedom allows for the option of making a mistake but leaves the choice to you. A bond servant to Christ is one who freely chooses to submit wholely to the Lord’s desires and choices out of a deep love and trust in our Lord. It is the choice of all choices to surrender.
“If one rules another by saying, “You must do this,” and, “You will do that,” he breaks the human spirit, making it unfit for God. A person is simply a slave for obeying, unless behind his obedience is the recognition of a holy God.” — Oswald Chambers
God says, “Choose you this day whom you will serve.” He allows for you not to choose Him and He is God. Freedom is from God. Don’t let the devil (or any system of this world that he made and controls) steal your God given gift of choice. Meditate on this.
